Nancy's Waves Crochet Scarf

Making Waves

Sometimes there is a pattern that you return to time and again. It's fun to make, works up quickly, but has just enough complexity to keep your interest. The Nancy's Wave Scarf is like that for me.

Designed by Cori Dodds, this pattern looks amazing worked in variegated yarn - something I seem to buy a lot of but hoard more than use. One of my favorite yarns to use for this one is Diva yarn by Yarn Bee because of the rich colors and included sequins. LOVELY! Noro yarn looks amazing too.

As written, the pattern is worked horizontally and is a terrific way to practice HDC, DC, TC. The combination of these stitches is what creates the waves.

I've also worked the pattern vertically, which gives it a completely different look. I've made several of these in the past and have given them as gifts.
