Darth Vadar Hot Pad

Quick Projects for Gift Giving

ACK! Thanksgiving is behind us and that means one thing - time to panic about all the gifts you were going to make but didn't quite get done. Or how about last minute hostess gifts for all those parties you are invited too?

Well, I'm here to share some projects that work up FAST and are sure to be a big hit this season.

First up is for the Star Wars lover we all have in the family - a Darth Vadar hot pad. Imagine how much fun they will have placing their boiling hot pan on Vadar's face to defeat him once and for all. You can get the pattern at crazypatterns.net. I changed up how I did the pattern a bit and cross stitched the white accent lines over the black Vadar shape. I found this worked up faster and gave a little cleaner look.

Egg Hot Pad

Next up is the Egg Pot Holder. A classic for every kitchen.  This free pattern can be found here. I think I'll make eggs for breakfast.

Pie Hot Pads

Not into eggs or Star Wars? How about pie? Who doesn't love PIE? These work up super quick and are ADORABLE. Another free pattern too! Get your copy here

Knitted Gnome Wine Bottle Topper

Need a last minute hostess gift? Grab a bottle of wine on your drive over and top it with this cute gnome. This free tutorial by JoJo JuJu works up quickly on the loom and is a big hit. The wine is pretty good too!

There you go! A few patterns you can crank out this weekend while you are digesting yesterday's big meal.

Happy Crafting!
