Crochet Ornaments by Sharpin Designs

New Pattern: Granny's Holiday Ornaments!

Do you have a leftover problem? Are there bits of yarn everywhere that are too short to make something with yet too long to toss? Then this may be the project you are looking for!

Each year I save my scraps from the various projects I make then use them to make ornaments. I usually make about a dozen or so each year and have slowly amassed enough to pretty much cover the tree. (Hmmm . . . maybe a need a crochet tree now????)

For years I've used various patterns and have had to adjust them since most are written for fingering or thread-weight yarn. Since I tend to work in worsted and DK, I decided it was time for me to write the pattern down. Of course, I had to share it. Bonus - it's free!

I did three different versions of the pattern for a little bit of visual interest. I love how these look in the various colors, (the pink and green is my favorite this year,) but I also love how they look in solid colors. It's also fun to see how the color of the ornament shows through.

You can get your copy of the pattern on this site and in my Ravelry shop. Show me what you make!
