New Pattern: Wrapped in Stitches Mitts
I have some news to share. I may be teaching a few crochet classes at my local yarn store this fall. The details are still being worked through so I have nothing official to announce yet, but I'm excited. Excited enough to design the class project already.
As a beginner you want to practice the most common stitches, use a nice yarn that's affordable (Berrocco Ultra Wool), and create a project that won't take FOREVER. Bonus points if it's not a scarf. Extra bonus points if you can finish the project while in the classroom.
I decided to create a pattern that shows off all the basic stitches - SC, HDC, DC, and TDC. Because the project is worked flat, it's super easy to adjust the size. Also included are several variation ideas to give you completely different looks. There's even a few ideas on how to use this same pattern to create other items.
The pattern is available on this site as well as Etsy and Ravelry.
Happy Hooking!
