Medusa's Handbag Crochet Pattern by Sharpin Designs

Medusa's Handbag

I love dressing up for Halloween. Each year I come up with something and then try to make some sort of accessory to go with the outfit. After all, it seems strange carrying around a traditional handbag when you are all decked out.

This year I decided to dress up as Medusa. I've had a blast making the headpiece, and coming up with the outfit, but once again, I knew the outfit was incomplete without a handbag. I got to sketching and designed a snake bag!

Not only is there a giant snake on the side of the purse, but there are two smaller snakes that attached the twisted straps to the sides.

This actually worked up pretty quickly. I finished it in about two weeks working off and on. It was simple but it does have a lot of pieces, but they work up fairly quickly. I can imagine doing this in other snake patterns too!

If you'd like a pattern, you can get it on this site, Etsy, and Ravelry.

Happy Hooking!
